Our Team
Our founding partners’ collective experience includes 22 years as reserve consultants with Netherland, Sewell, & Associates, Inc.; 30 years as senior advisors at Petrie Parkman, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Anderson Oil & Gas, Inc.; and 18 years as industry executives at Exxon and Wynn-Crosby Energy.
We devote the full resources of our team to every transaction. Our primary goal is to achieve maximum value for our clients. Long-term relationships are fundamental to successful transactions. Company principals manage each step in the execution of every transaction.
Randy KingManaging Partner
Randall E. King is a founding member and Managing Partner of Anderson King Energy Consultants, LLC ("AK"). Prior to forming AK in 2012, Mr. King was a Managing Director for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s oil and gas divestiture business and supervised a team of professionals based in Houston.
Mr. King joined Petrie Parkman at its founding in 1989 and was extensively involved in closing over $65B of transactions at the firm. His experience includes advising clients on over 130 divestitures with Petrie Parkman, as well as numerous acquisition, merger, fairness opinion, and restructuring assignments for public and private companies of all sizes.
He has a long history of working with the public and private upstream independent sector in providing liquidity options and strategic transaction services.
Bill AndersonManaging Partner
William D. Anderson, PE, is a founding member and Managing Partner of Anderson King Energy Consultants, LLC (“AK”). Prior to the formation of AK, Mr. Anderson formed Anderson O&G, Inc. (“AOG”) in 2005, a boutique energy sector advisory and consulting business oriented towards acquisition and divestiture activities. AOG successfully closed over 35 separate transactions as financial advisor or co-advisor with an aggregate value of over $4.2B.
Mr. Anderson provides ongoing consulting services to clients including: LLOG Exploration Company, SUNOCO, Crimson Energy Partners, Axis Energy Corporation, Trek Resources, Inc., and LoIn Energy Corporation.
Jon DormerManaging Partner
Jonathan E. Dormer is a Managing Partner for Anderson King Energy Consultants, LLC (“AK”). His experience includes advising on over 100 divestitures, acquisitions and capital-raising assignments for public and private upstream energy companies. Noteworthy transactions managed by Mr. Dormer include Treadstone’s $715MM sale to ENXP, Plano’s $125MM sale to Templar, Willow Bend’s $75MM sale, and Marshall R. Young Oil Company’s exit from the Barnett Shale and Permian Basin.
Prior to the formation of Anderson King in 2012, Mr. Dormer served as President of Centergy Advisors LLC (“Centergy”), an upstream acquisition and divestiture advisory firm he founded in 2007. Centergy successfully closed over 30 separate transactions as financial advisor or co-advisor with Anderson O&G, Inc.
Mr. Dormer is an active member and previous board member of the Dallas Petroleum Club, serving as Vice President in 2022.
Kim MoseleyVice President
Kimberly Moseley is a Vice President for Anderson King Energy Consultants, LLC ("AK"). During her 20 years of industry experience, Mrs. Moseley has been an integral part of transactions totaling $14B.
Her experience covers strategic advisory and technical consulting with an emphasis on divestitures, acquisitions, and reserves analysis engagements across a broad range of asset types, covering most major North American basins. Prior to the formation of AK, Mrs. Moseley was an analyst for Anderson O&G, Inc. from 2005 to 2012. She began her career as an engineering and geologic technician at Wynn-Crosby Energy and Petrohawk Energy Corporation in 2004.
John ThomasonVice President
John Thomason, CPA is a Vice President for Anderson King Energy Consultants, LLC ("AK"). Since joining AK in 2013, Mr. Thomason has experience in a wide spectrum of strategic advisory engagements ranging from $5MM to over $1B and covering most major US basins.
Prior to joining AK, Mr. Thomason was an Assurance Associate with McGladrey LLP where he specialized in financial statement audits for financial service clients, including private equity groups and hedge funds.
Andrea HagenAssociate
Andrea Hagen is an Associate for Anderson King Energy Consultants, LLC (“AK”).
Mrs. Hagen’s oil and gas experience began in 2013 with Wynn Crosby Management, Ltd where she managed the Master Service Agreements and Pumper Contracts, organized and managed well files, and supported the Operations team with general administrative tasks.
